Radio ads are sold by the length of the ad and the "daypart." A daypart is the time of day that your ad might play. While you can't be sure of the exact time, you would let us know the range or daypart that you'd like to focus on for your ad.

|---|---|---|---|
| 6AM-12midight | $18 | $10.80 | $6 |

An easy way to get your information out to campus is through online advertising. Use this affordable vehicle if you already have the information on your own website and are looking to expand your reach to a new audience. In addition to the banner ads that are featured in the rate card (download on the right), here are a few options that work especially well for student groups:
• Calendar button on www.the217.com - $5/day
This ad shows up next to calendar listings. You'll be right in front of readers already looking for something to do
• Newsletter banner ads - $10/email
Have your ad emailed to our newsletter subscribers. Readers have signed up to receive headlines from The Daily Illini, entertainment and event news from WPGU and the217. Be included in one of these email blasts for a reasonable price.
• Partner up for a multi-media approach
When you run a print or broadcast ad, you can run a mid-sized banner on either dailyillini.com or the217.com for half the listed price. Ask your Advisor for details about this package.
Yes, in fact, we want you to. The day before your ad is scheduled to run, we'll ask you to review a proof. Proofs let you view your ad and correct any mistakes before the ad runs. If you don't check your proof and an error occurs, you may not be able to receive credit. We can email or fax your proof, or you can view it in our office. But, all corrections must be returned by 2p.m. one business day prior to publication.
You can look at this two ways. One is to think about your budget for the ad and compute how many column inches of ad space can you buy for that amount (divide your budget by $8.55). Or, you can look at the amount of information you want in your ad and decide how much room you'll need. A 2 column x 2” ad is roughly the size of a business card. Would your info fit in two business cards? Four? Keep in mind that making your ad attractive with larger headlines, artwork, and white space will also get more attention for your information. So, don't forget to fit those in to your budget as well. As always, an Advisor can take a look at your text and make a recommendation for you.
